Carmen Caramanica has been teaching since 1964.He maintained a teaching practice while being "on the road" as a professional guitarist, musical arranger and conductor for such major acts as Jazz/Blues singer Lou Rawls, and later with Raquel Welch's show and Tony Orlando. With these acts he made multiple appearances on The NBC Tonight Show, Midnight Special, and many others. His Jazz Trio performed on PBS's "All American Jazz" TV show which was aired world wide. He recorded for MGM, Bell, & CasaBlanca Records, and Paramount Pictures, and played concerts in most major cities in the U.S. While keeping a busy performance schedule Carmen also taught private lessons, held adjunct teaching positions at Hamilton College & MVCC, and taught guitar seminars for Syracuse University and S.U.N.Y. While some of his students have become quite famous (like Joe Bonamassa, who he had the pleasure of instructing for a time) others have learned to play just for their own enjoyment.
